To support regional, rural and remote students to build mental health and wellbeing, confidence, aspiration and belief in a bright future, contributing to more equitable education outcomes, as students make the challenging transition from adolescence to adulthood whilst facing the disadvantage of geographic and social isolation.
Our Strategic Aims
Through provision of mentorship:
Deliver and promote a holistic support network for regional, rural and remote young people to enhance their mental health and wellbeing.
Build mentee confidence, resilience and capability to empower them to be life-long learners and contributors.
Reduce the inequities in education, career opportunities and fundamental support caused by geographic and social isolation.
Increase awareness of broader perspectives and build aspiration beyond the confines of small, isolated communities.
Instil inclusivity and respect for all backgrounds, diversities and individual needs.
Recognise the disadvantage that regional, rural and remote young people face due to geographic and social isolation.
